THOR GHONTO| How to Cook Bengali style Thor Ghonto

Thor ghonto i.e. banana stem curry. Banana stem is popularly known as Thor in Bengal. There are various ways of cooking it. The recipe I am sharing today is the simplest one as simplicity is my specialty πŸ˜‰


INGREDIENTS. A) Banana stem/ Thor – 200 g. B) Potato cubes. C) Coconut pieces. D) Salt to taste. E) Cumin seeds -1 tsp

COOKING STEPS. A) Boil potatoes and Thor. B) Now boil oil and add cumin seeds in the oil. As it starts splattering, add potato cubes. C) Fry it till it becomes golden. Add coconut pieces in the same. D) When the coconut pieces starts changing it’s color, add the Thor or banana stem. E) Cook for a while in low flame. F) It goes best with hot rice.
