PHULKOPI DIYE TYANGRAR JHOL

I am not at all a fish fan. Since my school days it’s my mother’s struggle to feed me fish. Though I love everything cooked by my mother but I always create excuse to avoid fish.

I started cooking as I finished my college. In fact cooking was never my hobby. My fee time means either I am glued to some tv series or I am gulping some story.

My mom faced an accident. And due to some major operation she was bed ridden for months. That accident changed many things. One of them is my knack for cooking. I took up knife for the first time that day. I don’t know what God has stored for me next , till then let’s keep moving …. what say

So today’s recipe is

PHULKOPI DIYE TYANGRAR JHOL

It’s a very healthy and tasty recipe as well as it’s quick to cook.

INGREDIENTS.

Tyangra maach or Catfish -4 pieces. Phulkopi or cauliflower -1 cup. Coriander powder -1 TSP. Salt to taste. Turmeric powder pinch. Mustard oil to cook

COOKING STEPS

Wash fish pieces. Add salt and turmeric powder.

Boil oil in pan till smoke starts coming out.

Then put the fish pieces. Fry them in high flame.

Then set aside the fried fish pieces.

Add the chopped cauliflower in the same oil. Add salt and turmeric powder. Toss them.

Add coriander powder, salt and turmeric powder. Cook for a while.

Add water as much needed.

Add the fried fish pieces.

Cook for few more minutes.

Transfer to a plate.

It goes best with hot rice.
