RUI BHAPA -How to cook Rui Bhapa

Another yummy fish recipe.

Bengalis cherish fish in their menu. Be it our lunch or dinner we enjoy fish on our plate every time. This fish preparation is very easy to cook. It requires only 10 minutes to preapare this.


Rui or Katla fish piece -2 Mustard powder – 4-6 spoon( Sunrise mustard powder) Mustard oil Salt to taste.


Take a bowl. Put mustard powder in the bowl.

Add water as much needed to make a paste. The consistent of the paste shouldn’t be too thick and neither too runny.

Now add the fish pieces. Mix them well in the mustard paste. Add dollop of mustard oil.

Now put it in the oven and cook for 5 minutes.


Enjoy with a bowl of rice.

  1. I love mustard, but never used it as a coating for fish. This is such a great idea! I’ll keep it in mind for my next fish dish. 🙂
