BHINDI FRY – A popular simple fry recipe , cooked with Bhindis. Often veggies like onion and garlic cloves are added in this recipe. Sometimes Bhindis are only stir fried with spices.
I am a huge fan of Bhindis. My entire summer cookbook is full of Bhindi recipes. Out of all Bhindi recipes, this easy to cook Bhindi fry is my favourite. Cooked in just 10 minutes, this recipe forms a hearty meal with rice- dal.
HOW TO COOK MASALA BHINDI FRY
INGREDIENTS
- 250 GM Bhindi /Okra
- 1 Medium Size Onion
- 4 Garlic Cloves
- 4 Tablespoon Tomato Puree
- 1 Tsp Black Pepper Powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 Tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- Rice Bran Oil
HOW TO COOK MASALA BHINDI FRY
- Chop Bhindis into small pieces. Set aside. Chop the onion into thin slices.
- Take Tomato puree in a bowl. Add 1 tsp black Pepper Powder and 1 Tsp Garam Masala Powder in the bowl as well. Mix everything.
- Pour oil in pan. Temper the oil with 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder.
- Put the chopped Bhindis in pan. Sprinkle 1 Tsp Turmeric Powder and salt to taste.
- Fry on high flame for few minutes.
- Add the tomato puree next. Add garlic cloves. Keep frying.
- Add finely sliced onions in last. Lower the flame and fry till Onion become golden.
- Once every veggies get cooked, take out on a plate and serve hot with rice dal combo.
