Egg Toast – or we call it French Toast in India is a popular Breakfast. This toast is eaten all across the world and is cooked in numerous ways. But Indian egg Toast is unique. It’s a super quick recipe and you can cook it in just 10 minutes. Even a Fifth grade , sixth grade student can cook this recipe. As I mentioned before, there are numerous ways to cook this, depending on your tastebud and your preference. I have cooked this in the simplest way. This healthy tasty dish is also ideal for tiffin box plan.

HOW TO COOK EGG TOAST (STEP BY STEP WITH PHOTOS)

Take a bowl. Break two eggs and put it in bowl.. Chop 1 medium size onion and add it. Add 1 tsp Pepper powder and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. Add 1 tsp Salt. Chop 1 green chilli and add it.Whisk everything.

Now take a Bread packet. Cut each bread into triangular shape.

Put the bread in egg batter. Coat both sides.

Add refined oil in pan. Put the egg coated bread for frying. Fry both sides. Serve hot.

Take a bowl. Break two eggs and put it in the bowl. Add 1 tsp Pepper powder, 1 tsp Turmeric powder and 1 tsp Salt and chop the green chilli and add it. Whisk everything.
Cut Breads into triangular shape.
Put the Bread in egg batter. Coat both sides.
Put refined oil in pan. Fry the egg coated bread. Fry them till the breads become golden. Serve hot.

GREEN MOONG DAL | GREEN GRAM CURRY | HOW TO COOK GREEN GRAM CURRY

Green gram curry , very popular Dal curry where green gram also known as whole moong dal is used in cooking this preparation. This Green gram curry is delicious and easy to cook. It goes well with rice or roti. Sometimes we try this recipe with Jeera rice, Ghee rice. This is a no cream, no butter recipe. This is also a no onion no garlic recipe.

Green gram also known as moong dal is a lentil that is widely used in Asian Cooking. This dal is used to cook curry, stew, stir fry, soup,or even sweet dishes. In Indian cuisine, these are used to cook a curry or dosa.

Tips

It is good to soak green grams for 3-4 hours to avoid tummy problems. Soaking also cuts down cooking time.

HOW TO COOK GREEN GRAM CURRY (STEP BY STEP WITH PHOTOS)

Green grams are whole lentils with skin. So washing is crucial. Wash the lentils thoroughly and soak them overnight in water.(This process decreases cooking time)

Next morning, drain the water and put it in pressure cooker. Add 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder pinch. Cook for 4-5 whistles

Now put mustard oil in pan. Temper the oil with cumin seeds.

Add chopped tomato in the pan.

Cook till the tomatoes become mushy. Add the dal.

Add 1 tsp cumin powder, salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp garam masala powder. Add the stock of the dal.

Mix everything. Cook in medium flame for few minutes. Transfer to a bowl and serve.

1 tsp Cumin powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

HOW TO COOK GREEN GRAM CURRY

Wash the dal, soak the dal overnight.

Next morning, drain out the water and put it in pressure cooker. Put salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder in the cooker. Cook for 4-5 whistles.

Put mustard oil in pan. Temper the oil with cumin seeds.

Put chopped tomato in pan.

Cook till tomatoes become mushy. Add the dal.

Add cumin powder, salt and turmeric powder and garam masala powder. Add the stock of the dal.Cook in low flame for few minutes.

Lip smacking dal is ready to serve.

Take a banana. Take off the skin and mash it in a bowl.

Put 2 cup of whole wheat in the same bowl. Sprinkle fennel seeds (optional) on it.

Add few pieces of raisin(optional)

Add 1 cup sugar.

Now add hot water slowly to make a smooth batter. The batter shouldn’t be too runny neither too thick.

DIMER BORAR JHOL| EGG FRITTER CURRY| Cook curry with egg fritters

Eggs are very common ingredient in our kitchen. In our house, eggs are cooked every alternative days. There are enormous recipes that can be cooked with egg. From simple egg curry to spicy egg masala, omlette to omlette curry we love each and every preparations/recipe. Also it’s very easy to cook egg. Even a novice chef can cook a tasty recipe of egg without any help.

Since lockdown, we mostly having eggs in our house. My mother is not very fond of egg curry. So this recipe is specially for her on the eve of Mother’s Day. This recipe is easy to cook and it tastes awesome.

Eggs are one of the most nutritious food on planet. Eggs contain nutrients like – Vit A, Folate ,Vit B5, phosphorus and selenium. Eggs also contain trace nutrients that are important for health.

TIPS

You can separate yolk and egg white and can mix with potatoes with either of your choice or can use both.

STEP BY STEP COOKING WITH PHOTOS

Peel off the skin of potatoes and boil them after cutting into pieces. Break eggs and put it in the potatoes. Mix them. Add chopped onion and garlic cloves and salt and turmeric powder.Mix everything.

Put refined oil in pan. Make small balls out of the mixture and put it in pan. Fry till the fritters become golden.

Set the fritters aside after frying.

Now chop tomatoes in fine pieces. Put mustard oil in pan. Add the chopped tomatoes. Fry them. As tomato becomes mushy, add water in pan. Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and sugar. Cook till water starts boiling.

Add the fritters in the pan. Cook for few minutes in medium flame. Then take it out on a plate or in a bowl.

HOW TO COOK DIMER BORAR JHOL/ EGG FRITTER CURRY

Take a plate. Put the boiled potatoes.

Break eggs and put it in the potatoes. Add chopped onion, chopped garlic cloves, salt and turmeric powder. Mix everything.

Now put refined oil in pan. Make small balls out of the mixture and put it in pan. Fry them till the balls become golden. Set them aside after frying.

Now put teaspoon of refined oil in pan. Add the chopped tomato. Toss till the tomato become mushy.

Add coriander powder , salt and turmeric powder.

Add water and cook in medium flame for few minutes.

Add the fried fritters.

Cook for few minutes and transfer to a plate or bowl.

Serve hot with rice or pulao.

POTATO CURRY RECIPE| COOK ONE POT DRY POTATO CURRY IN 10 MINS

Potatoes are one of the versatile ingredient in our kitchen. It appears in each and every curry cooked in our kitchen, it enriches the taste of our Macher jhol to the jhal jhal dimer kosha potato is used in cooking all this yummy recipes. TIPS

Now put mustard oil in pan. Mustard oil gives pungent smell in the curry. Temper the oil with paanchforon (Indian five spice mix)

Put mustard oil in kadai. Temper the oil with paanchforon/ Indian five spice.

Now add potatoes. Chop the tomato and put it in the kadai.

Add salt and sugar, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Cover with a lid and cook for few minutes in medium flame.

Serve hot.

CHIRER PANTUA| COOK GULABJAMUN WITH FLATTENED RICE|PANTUA RECIPE

In Kolkata, Pantua is very popular sweet. Mostly Pantua or Gulab Jamun as you say is mostly cooked with khoya. But in this recipe I have used chire or flattened rice to cook this recipe of pantua. You can easily cook this recipe if you have chire/ flattened rice at home. Cooking of this recipe requires only two major ingredient- chire/flattened rice and sugar. It’s very easy to cook.

Flattened rice originates from Indian subcontinent. Rice is perboiled before flattening so that it can be consumed with very little oil. You can even consume it without cooking. These flakes of rice swell when added to liquid whether hot or cold,as they absorb water or any other liquid.

It is also called Beaten Rice not to be confused with poha. In Kolkata it is mostly called Chire. It is used as a common breakfast ingredient in our kitchen for kids and elderly person. I remember my grandfather relishing a bowl of chire dipped in milk in his breakfast.

Gulab Jamun is a classic Indian sweet made with Chana and sugar syrup. This is the traditional preparation where Chana is the main ingredient. But this recipe of mine has Chire or Flattened rice as the main ingredient.

With lockdown all around the world, we are trying to use our resources rationally. In this recipe you don’t need milk at all also you don’t need milk powder. But you can enjoy luscious gulab jamun even then.

Chire / Flattened rice is a good source of essential vitamins minerals and antioxidants.

STEP BY STEP RECIPE WITH PHOTOS

Take chire or Flattened rice on a plate or in a bowl. Wash them thoroughly. Then start mashing them with your hand. Knead till lump starts forming.

This requires 10-15 minutes

Now put oil in pan. Make small balls out of the chire/ flattened rice dough. Fry them in oil.

Size depends on you.

Fry them till the ball becomes golden outside.

Put sugar and water in a bowl. Let it boil. Now soak these balls in the sugar syrup.

Take the Gulab Jamun out of the syrup after few minutes. It’s ready.

Take a plate/ bowl. Put the flattened rice in the same. Wash them thoroughly. Start mashing it hand.

Make balls out of dough.

Put oil in pan. Fry the balls till they are golden outside.

Put sugar and water in a bowl. Boil them.

Put the fried balls in the sugar syrup.

Take them out after few minutes.

Badami Paneer|Cook paneer in almond gravy

Paneer is fresh cheese which is beneficial for health. As it is versatile in nature it is the star ingredient of our kitchen. It goes well with all kinds of spices. This recipe is cooked in almond gravy with spices giving flavour.

Today I am sharing a paneer recipe which I had with kaju – kishmish pulao. It’s badami paneer.

A tasty and rich paneer gravy recipe made with tomato and almonds. Almond gives an amazing nutty taste and spices like garam masala powder gives flavour to the curry.

INGREDIENTS

Paneer -300-gm. Almonds -1/2 cup. Raisin -1/4 cup. Ginger slice. Turmeric powder pinch. Tomato -1. Garam masala powder -1 tsp. Salt to taste. Oil to cook

COOKING STEPS

Cut paneer into cubes. Fry paneer in oil and set aside.

Make a paste of tomato and ginger slice and almonds and raisins.

Put the paste in pan.

Add turmeric powder and salt in pan.

Saute them till the raw smell of the masala goes away.

Add water as much needed.

Add fried paneer cubes.

Cook for few minutes more.

Sprinkle garam masala powder and finish cooking.

AAM SANDESH | HOW TO BENGALI STYLE MANGO FUDGE | AAM SANDESH RECIPE

Today I am going to share my recipe of Mango Sandesh. Mango- the king of fruits is my sole reason to love summer. Today I am divulging my way of making Sandesh with the king of fruits. It is very simple and easy to cook. Let’s Cook Mango Sandesh easily.

INGREDIENTS

Mango -2. Lemon -2 Milk -2 packets. Sugar -1 cup.

HOW TO COOK AAM SANDESH (BENGALI STYLE MANGO SWEET)

Boil milk and reduce the milk into half. Then squeeze lime juice in the milk. Obtain the curdled milk. Take the chaana on a plate and mash the chana

Put 1 spoon ghee in pan. Add the chaana. Toss the chaana.

Squeeze the juice from mangoes.

Put the pulp in pan.

Stir for a while.

Add sugar to taste.

Saute till the mixture dries up.

Transfer to a greased plate.

Cut them into barfis/ sandesh
